Indulgence

I indulge in myself every once and a while

I allow myself to see past my flaws and admire

My soft glowing skin

My deep brown eyes

My long lifted lashes

To the shape of my thighs

To the curl of my hair

To the crafting of me

What God has done with his hands

Shaping me into the woman I am

To the length of my fingers

To the curve of my breast

To the bounce in my step

To the way my lips part

I am a captivating art.

To the twitch of my nose

To the cut of my chin

I am how he made me

No box to fit in

I indulge in myself every once in a while

I indulge in the fact that I am God’s child
